took 3 + weeks after payment to get a tracking number and shiupping was quite expensive compared to other auction houses

Bought 2 firearms from here, 1 Tiny handsized. 25 cal and 1 short rifle Completely robbery!!!@ $245 to ship BEWARE Philadelphia mail room is used Never will I buy here Again It’s Too Bad shipping was more than 1/2 the price of the items and left with No Options!!!! Extremely Dissappointed

I attend 35 or more Gun Auctions each year. This was my first experience at Stephenson's. I will never bid or buy from them again, and will tell all of my friends about the way they conduct business. Their pictures are poor, descriptions are no more than what appears on the gun, no condition evaluation or other comments helpful to a prospective buyer. They do not have the ability to conduct a Gun auction, should probably sell only furniture or household goods. Their facility is truly second class. Their fees are excessive, highest in the industry, who else gets 50 % for conducting an auction.

Outstanding Auction House to Deal With

Phillymailroom cost was surprisingly high for a small item-$40 for a 4-lb shoebox size parcel.

Auction house has a scam with shipping. They’ve got some secondary company that does the shipping. They want me to jump through hoops for them doing all sorts of coordination for them and then they tell me it’s going to cost $100.00 to ship a small $200.00 item and I haven’t heard from anyone in a week. I’ll never buy anything from them again.

I received the lots won and was very pleased with the condition... exactly as described. I found the people at Stephenson's to be very professional and would bid with them again based on 50 + years of buying at auctions. Wish they did in house shipping. One lot badly damaged by the outside shipper, not the end of the world but disappointing. Am contacting the shipper. Not Stephenson's fault.

No concerns whatsoever from start to finish. Auctioneer allowed ample time to consider a bid and yet the process was swift and enjoyable. I especially want to mention how well my item was packed for shipping. This may go unreported by others but given the fragility of my item it was well appreciated. Just for shipping and packing they receive my five Star rating!!!

Stephenson's Auction did not call back when my item was left by PHilly Mail room after he said he would call me back. Took weeks to get my item.

I have bid with Stephenson's previously, and was generally satisfied. This time, the descriptions on 2 of the lots I won were inaccurate: The "Mint" Campbell's Soup Boy had damage to his shoes, and the Gene outfits had many pieces loose or missing. Only one photo was made available for that lot leading me to believe that hats were in the hat boxes. One box was completely empty, while two others had items that should have been in the boxes with the rest of the outfits. Plus, one outfit was for Madra and not Gene. Though I immediately contacted the auction house, I never received a response. I was quite disappointed. The other items I won were quite nice.

Every part of my auction experience was good. I enjoyed my auction experience. After the auction, I used UPS Store 5421 for shipping and they did a fantastic job of packing and shipping my painting at a reasonable price.

Highly recommend Stephenson’s-absolutely nothing is too much trouble and the buying experience is very relaxed and one knows that professionals are running the show! Well done!

We arrived for a pickup at the arranged time. The one person who was there had not been informed and was in no position to help load a heavy rug into our station wagon. We did it ourselves. Inadequate communication and customer service.

I bid an won several items. Arranged pickup and packing/shipping by UPS store as suggested. Very good communication made an overall great transaction. I recommend Stephenson’s and will bid again soon.

Great auction and great auction house. Very responsive to questions. Payment was easy but on the downside, shipping, while very secure and protective of the item, was really expensive-almost $100 for a single poster. Ouch! Still, I would participate again but I would also be well aware of the additional expense involved in getting my purchase.

I was very disappointed with my experience. They charged a large buyer’s fee and didn’t arrange shipping. They directed to a shipping company and almost 3 weeks later it was delivered to the wrong address and I had to go to the person’s address and retrieve it.

Stephenson's Auction of Perry Pfeiffer's poster estate was exciting and well presented. I normally avoid auctions which do not offer in-house shipping, but I understand that some auction houses are not equipped to offer such. This particular auction offered some recommended 3rd party shippers, and I was fortunate enough to have chosen the UPS option. Though it takes an extra week or so to get one's winning items, this was well worth the wait. I also want to thank Stephensons for delivering my posters in the sturdy, well protected archival sleeve. My posters arrived literally unscathed. I hope that this auction house will offer more vintage rock concert posters in the future auctions.
