Stephenson's Auction was a pleasure to deal with. The staff made my transactions quick and easy and were accommodating with some specific requests I inquired about. I would look forward to dealing with Stephenson's again and highly recommend their services.

Very disappointed in this auction experience. My winning bid was $200.00, but with shipping and various other charges added on, the final cost was $375.00. Auction house gave no indication that shipping charge would be so ridiculous, since they don't actually ship the item. They refer you to a list of shippers they recommend. All 3 shippers offered near the same outrageous rates, made me think there is some kickback going on between them and auction house. I was charged $98.00 to ship one poster. USPS estimate for shipping would be about $30.00, based upon my previous shipping experiences, but USPS not offered as one of their shipping options.

This doesn’t need to be public, for LiveAuctioneers to look into: Won a rug that was to be 12 ’ x 14 ’ at their 10/30/20 auction (lot 468); upon inquiring about pick up was told photos were incorrect (after purchase, not before) but that another rug matched what I thought I was purchasing. At scheduled time to pick up, indicated agent was not available, no items matched the size, and no one seemed either eager or friendly to help. Ended up canceling sale, because they did not have any items available matching what I purchased, and it took several days for them to refund payment. The owner did take partial responsibility and maybe there were some other things going on that resulted in the distractions and confusion, but in general I’d avoid buying here again based on the initial experience and the resolution experience.

After payment, they no longer answered my questions and they was no keep me informed about tracking the collection of items. This despite my many messages.

Took a while to receive, but overall it was a pretty good experience!

Items were as described. The do not ship so talked to their recommended shippers who gave outrageous quotes. I buy concert posters weekly, and the most I have ever paid for shipping was $25. Their shippers were quoting me over $200. I live 4 hours away so I decided to drive up and pick my items up myself. I sent an email a couple days before to make sure it was alright if I came up and gave them a day and time I would be there. They responded and said that was fine. When I got there no one knew I was coming and they had to scramble to find my items. Nice people, not very organized, horrible and dishonest shipping partners. If you live close, I would buy from them on-site. If you don't, beware of buying over the internet.

By the time I was finished paying all the entities involved I paid a 40 % premium over the hammer price. 25 % to Stephensons, another 3 % + to Live Auctioneers and worst of all another 12 % to the shipping company. $113.00 to ship a single poster by ground mail? A gross overcharge. In addition, the poster was not even placed in a sleeve. I cannot in good conscience participate in any other auctions going forward. Pricing, all in, is extremely uncompetitive.

Only comment: Winning bidder has to contact and set up delivery. Need better notification process for this activity.

I was extremely pleased with the transaction, from start to finish. My poster arrived in perfect condition and had been carefully wrapped and boxed so it shipped flat. I was so glad they didn't roll it up, because the paper on which the poster was printed was not very pliable. It could have been rolled, but flat shipment, which required more time and trouble, was the preferred method for this particular type of poster. They didn't have to do that, but they obviously care about their customers and go the extra mile for them. This was a wonderful auction, and I was ecstatic that I won the Marley poster.

I adored every one of my winnings! Such great condition. The variety of dolls in the auction was amazing. I bid on many, and love the ones I won.
