Was said to be 9.4 grams but on my kitchen scale said only 8 grams.

Fast and completely competent response to my emails and phone calls. I made my payment easily and was sent a paid invoice the same day. The only snafu was with the independent shipping company who was extremely slow and unresponsive. NOTE: The shipper was NOT associated with Stephenson's.

They had museum-quality Apel figures from about 1860 and did not provide good photos of the condition of the figures nor their sizes! I got a real bargain as I recognized the manufacturer and no one bid against me. The second auction was better presented, but not enough information to inform potential bidders.

The item was described as weighing 104 ozt. When I received and weighed the item is was only 90 ozt. I kept the item because it was still worth what I paid for it, but the discrepancy in the weights was concerning and I would hesitate in doing business with this auction house again unless I personally checked the description of the item.

Friendly to work with and responsive, but when I asked for a condition report, they said they did not think there was any obvious damage. When I received the buffet, there was extensive damage to the top surface of the buffet. I could not tell how significant the damage was from the picture listed on the auction site.

The description did not accurately describe the current condition of the bookcase. It made no mention that the shelves were glass and not wood, it didn't state the bookcase has been re-conditioned as a display case with lighting fixtures, which proved to be unstable.

I have been buying from Stephenson's for almost 6 years. They epitimize what you want in an auction company. Additionally, they are always courteous and professional. They work with their customers which is especially important when interacting with them from one coast to another. Simply stated, I trust them.
