Love this auction house. Will absolutely buy through them again.

Shipping was very reasonable cost. I wish they had more information on provenance of the piece. I didn't ask but just supply where the got it.

Sometime in 2015 I bid exclusively on the liveauctioneers platform to execute my bidding in one of Morphys auctions. My "items won" showed I was top bidder on 15 items, but when I received my invoice from Morphys, it only listed 10 items. Even though I specifically remember seeing the "you won this lot" message, Morphys stated the items were purchased by another bidder and I had no recourse. In all my experience of bidding on the liveauctioneers platform, this has never happened with any other auction house. I do this for a living, had invested a considerable amount of time in previewing, and of course spent most of the day participating in the auction so I was extremely disappointed with no true understanding of what happened.

Ridiculously high shipping & handling cost enough so I will no longer do business

Some auction houses reduce the buyer's premium for those bidding in person at the auction. It might increase the attendance and increase competition for items having seen them in person. Hard to judge size, scale, and beauty of some objects from a picture.

Still have not received the lot. Much slower than other auction houses.

A favorite auction house that I will continue to purchase from. However, flaws are often missed and condition of items not always accurate.

Your shipping charges and packing charges are out way to high $80 really..

Overcharged for shipping BIG TIME and mediocre packing. The tins still had white wax smeared all over the Tobacco pocket tins and we had to spend hours trying to get it off. Pics always have soft detail ON PURPOSE so you can't see too much... hides many flaws. They did not show the back sides of the tins so you end up buying a mystery pig in a poke. They put too many items together so you end up buying ********** and other items you don't want or need. Won auction for $350... total charge was $471... outrageous.

Morphys is the best and most trusted of the different houses I have dealt with.

I once bought something and the computer said I won the item. When I went to pay for it, they said it was sold to someone in the audience. I've also noticed that the real time is different for different buyers. You have to get all your buyer venues more coordinated. Don

Customer service very unresponsive to requests for additional photos needed to assess condition of items. I called over three weeks before the auction for photo requests, and after more than four additional calls the information was never received. Finally, on the day before the auction one person sent me one cellphone photo. Unacceptable!

Out of all the auction companies I deal with, Morphy's was the most unpleasant.

Real dissapointing when they started putting the items on ebay as well but good for the seller an not the buyer. Auction books outstanding.

I was pleasantly surprised that they did a pack and ship of my purchase, as most auction houses make it clear you must make pickup and shipping arrangements on your own after the purchase. They were exceptionally efficient and I will be watching their auctions in the future!
