Aren't there shippers who are closer to Dumochelle's? Shipping was fine but quite expensive and they came in from Lake Orion all the way to downtown Detroit.

The killer in all of this online buying process is the shipping. It is a ********** shoot and you are at the shippers mercy. Auction shows should negotiate pre-set cost to hold down gouging so the buyers are more likely to bid. Heritage has done this with there shippers and it is a lot less stressful.

Several pieces of marble were broken off the base before packing and were put in a plastic envelope. Fortunate I could glue them back and no pieces were missing. I do not know if the damage was done at the auction house or the shipper.

I have had several transactions with this auction house and have been extremely satisfied with the experiences.

I placed a maximum bid of $100 on an item predicted to sell for $40. I bid on the DuM. website. I bid $100 because I was told over the phone that, if no one else bid on the item, I would get it for the opening bid, not my maximum. I was also told that, if someone else bid less than $100 (but more than the opening bid) on the item in person, the auctioneer would bid higher than the in-person bidder without going to my maximum, in effect bidding for me. Instead, what I believe happened is that the opening bid was announced, no one else bid, and instead of getting the item for the opening bid, the auctioneer immediately went to my maximum bid, selling it to me for $100. I can't confirm that this occurred, because apparently the auctioneer took no notes on other bidders (or so I was told on the phone), but it seems to have happened. In any case, I like the item and, obviously, was ultimately willing to pay the maximum bid I gave, but I wish the description of the bidding I was given over the phone had been accurate. I think it would have saved me $60 or so. Other than that, I thought the process went smoothly and the DuM folks were helpful. I would participate in an auction again.

They should be willing to accept credit card payments over the phone!

I have a disagreement whit the Action house about a Remington raider pocket revolver. I mail whit them from July 17 and still the reject all responsibility. The discription was not completed and its just a ordinary part gun. I hope you can help me!! I paid about 312 dollar for a part gun!!

Shippers were not very helpful and the prices in five different shippers doubled in price. When I did decide on a shipper and they gave me a quote it was not the price they charged my credit card. I would have to think twice befor I purchased from this auction house again and it was based totally on my shipping experience!

Payment very easy to understand & make. A shipping list is given making a hassle-free shipping experience. Very easy to sign in & bid. Overall a very pleasant experience. Enjoyed DuMouchelles auction very much!

Smooth transaction in all respects

My qualms about the pickup process were not related to DuMouchelles. The shipper I selected was apparently overwhelmed with the auction work, and the painting sat at DuMouchelles for a significant amount of time before being picked up. I finally called DuMouchelles to ascertain its whereabouts, and they advised it was still there; eventually, it was picked up, well packed, and shipped to me without incident.

Will buy from this auction house again.
