Thoroughly professional and responsive to any questions. I'm impressed.

The item was obviously at a glance not as described. The map was labelled as "looks genuine" according to some "expert" they had. I held the paper up to the sunlight and the paper had vertical milling lines running vertically throughout the print. The edges had been "antiqued", colored brown, in other words. The map was supposed to be of 1752 vintage. Well, maybe that original that they made the copy from was from that year, but I'm not even going to waste time on it anymore. And, no more Jasper52 I'm afraid.

I will continue to buy from this seller for quite a long time due to their reliability of fantastic items in my fields of interest, and the high standard of customer service! Highest recommendations for this seller.

The shipping costs were astronomical.

I like that you can pay via liveauctioneers and they send you invoice. It makes things simple. Other auction houses don't do that. Also low 10 % premium is great.

We are happy with the shipping price which was, for once, not too expensive and without having to negociate with several providers.

I had to correct them on several occasions about collecting NY State sales tax. Sales tax in NY is based on where you live in the state and not New York City where the auction house is located. I'm not too sure they sill get it!

THE WHOLE PROCESS OF HAVING TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN SHIPPER IS DISGUSTING. WITH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THESE PEOPLE MAKE (22-27 % PER SALE) THEY ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT SHIPPING THE GOODS. IT'S A REAL HASSLE, AND VERY EXPENSIVE, AND JUST SO UNNECESSARY. THIS PARTICULAR AUCTION HOUSE MISREPRESENTED THE ITEM I PURCHASED, IT CAME TO MY HOUSE AND I OPENED THE BOX, TO FIND AN UGLE, LIGHTWEIGHT, SUB PAR PIECE OF JUNK WHICH I PAID $2000 FOR. AFTER NOTIFYING THEM SEVERAL TIMES WITHIN THE 5 DAY RETURN PERIOD, THEY FINALLY ANSWERED ME SAYING WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE PIECE? I TOLD THEM, AND THEY SAID THERE IS NOTHING MISREPRESENTED AND THAT I WAS STUCK WITH IT. I SENT IT BACK TO THEM AT MY EXPENSE, AND NOW THEY ARE ARGUING WITH ME ABOUT KEEPING THE ITEM, AND NOT GIVING ME MONEY BACK OR AT THE VERY LEAST A STORE CREDIT. ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL, UNSETTLING AND STRESSFUL. DONT NEED THIS ********** IN MY LIFE

This was an excellent experience all around. To have an auction house have the shipping quotes right on the item you are interested in was amazing!! You can't believe how many hours this saves a buyer!!! The Jasper team answered all my questions prompt, only takes 10 % and gives shipping quotes-how can you beat that??? I will always prefer an auction house that handles its own shipping and gives you the price in the ad for the item. This allows the bidder to bid higher on an item, as when one has no idea what the shipping will be on an item. Often I do not dare bid because many times the shipping will be completely unaffordable and/or unavailable before bidding. Jasper52 offers this convenience.

Whenever I have had a question, they have replied promptly and courteously. They support their responses with data (like bid times and decision points). They take care of the shipping, which is wonderful, and they ship to Alaska at a reasonable price. I like the fact they will email me and ask if I would like to purchase an item, in the event my bid did not meet the reserve at auction but then, later, the consignor agrees to lower the reserve. I like the fact I do not have to worry about finding a shipper, then get a quote, then ok the quote if reasonable, then get a release ok from the auction house. But PLEASE. keep your shipping charges fair!! Like they have been so far.

Jasper52 "Japanese Print Auction" (of Feb 26) I purchased FIVE Japanese prints. Shipping (as received) was "helter-skelter"-with several of the 5 shippings arrived VERY POORLY packaged. Some resulting damages. As a "reputable/trustworthy/professional" auction venue, buyers should expect something that resembles "professional" packaging/shipping upon arrival. Problematic-I'm not sure that I'll risk purchasing again from "unknown/random" shippers.

My favourite auction house so far. They don't hammer you on buyer's premium and credit card charges. The process was smooth and straightforward. If I had to choose just one auction house it would be this one.

Some inquiries I made were not answered. I especially found it difficult and frustrating to place a viable bid when the most I had to go on was $1. I shall not be bidding on that auction site again. Thank you for inquiring

When an item is subject to a reserve they should peg the opening bid to that amount and not require fruitless bidding by bidders unwilling to pay the reserve amount for the item. If an item has a $1, 000 reserve what's wrong with starting the bidding at that price?
