BONAPARTE, Napoleon (1769-1821). Marginal Note Signed by Napoleon as First Consul on a Ministry of War Document. Paris, October 23, 1803. 1 4to page on one leaf of watermarked laid stationery paper. (“Republique Francaise / Le Ministre de la Guerre”). Approximately 12 ½ x 8”. One horizontal and one vertical fold, some mild edgewear, some foxing, inkstamp in red at center. Fine. Military document concerning Maestricht and Namur. There is a signed note by Napoleon near the upper left margin; beneath this is a marginal note signed by Louis-Alexandre Berthier (1810-1887) and it is signed at the bottom by Jean François Dejean (1749-1824) the Secretary of War for France at the time.
