[GAMES - BILLIARDS]
A hand-held mechanical scoring device for billiards. France: C. Decrette BTÉ S. G. D. G., circa 1900. Marked "Manufactured in France," thus likely made for the English market. The piece comprises a turned mahogany handle, the front with two mechanical metal scoring devices both fitted with windows showing moveable numeral dials, the top mechanism is marked "spot" and the bottom is marked "plain." 13 1/2 inches (34 cm) tall. Light wear, a bit of staining and rubbing to the metal, the mechanisms that change the dials' numbers work, but not as new.
