US Model 1843 Hall Carbine by North
Mexican American War
.52 smoothbore. 21" barrel. NSN. Browned and color casehardened finish, walnut stock with two flat barrel bands. Single shot percussion breechloading carbine wtih fixed notch rear sight, blade front sight, saddle bar and ring and button head cleaning and clearing rod. Stanard North markings on breech, dated 1845. No cartouches present. {ANTIQUE}
Condition
Fair. Smooth bore heavily oxidized with some pitting. Metal with traces of finish, showing scattered surface oxidation and some pitting. Markings partily legible in metal. Mechanically functional action. Wood well worn, sanded and with a major repair at the counterpane. Otherwise with scattered bumps, dings and mars.
