(1881-1941) German Minister of Justice in Hitler's cabinet. Detesting the cruel ways of the Gestapo and SA in dealing with prisoners of war, he protested unsuccessfully to Hitler. Eventually found himself providing legal grounds for a host of criminal acts. D.S. 1p. oblong 8vo., a deckle-edged Christmas and New Year’s card, boldly signed in full. Fine condition.
