(1902 - 1952) Nazi politician, Gauleiter of Danzig-West Prussia. A ruthless and notorious anti-Semite, he established about 70 camps in Pomerania where Poles were subjected to murder, torture and in the case of women and girls, rape before execution. In all, he killed upwards of 60,000. Executed. Good content war-date T.L.S. on his official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Danzig, Dec. 2, 1941 to Major WILHELM BRUCKNER (1884–1954), Adolf Hitler's bodyguard and chief adjutant until October 1940. Bruckner took part in the Beer Hall Putsch and after 1940 served as a colonel in the Heer. Forster writes, in part: '...I was very pleased to hear from you again after so long. I am happy to comply with your request and have arranged for 2 bottles of Machandel and 200 cigarettes to be sent to you. Unfortunately, we too are very limited here by the new regulations and decrees with these wholesome items, so that it is only possible to send the above-mentioned quantity. I may hope that you and your troops are still doing well and that you are getting through everything safely, even though the fighting, as can be seen from everything, is difficult and persistent. Wishing you all the best, I send my best regards and wishes for a very healthy Christmas to you and your unit...' Folds, else very good. With photo.
