
Description
(1892 - 1950) SA-Obergruppenfuhrer and editor-in-chief of the NSDAP's official newspaper, the 'Volkischer Beobachter'. In 1922 - as one of the first members - Weiss joined the NSDAP and participated in the Beer Hall Putsch and the March on the Feldherrnhalle. Between 1933 and 1945, he headed the Reich Association of the German Press, and was a member of the Reichstag. Rare D.S. on official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Berlin, Dec. 29, 1938, a printed invitation to the 'Presseball 1939', hand-signed at bottom. File holes, a staple at top and a few wrinkles, else very good.
