(1744 - 1800) American Revolutionary officer, President of the Continental Congress, major general, and member of the Constitutional Convention. Good association manuscript D.S. 'Tho Mifflin' as Governor of Pennsylvania, 1p. 20.75 x 11.5 parchment, Philadelphia, July 7, 1796, an official deed for the sale of a 309 acres tract of land to Tench Francis, Jr. (1731–1800), a merchant, lawyer and agent for the family of William Penn, the first cashier of the Bank of North America, and also headed the commission that laid out the city of Pittsburgh. Folds, a tiny hole in the text, else very good.
