The green shield medallion takes up almost the whole of the red field in the vertical direction. A red cartouche placed at its centre encloses a white octagon surrounded by double hooks and comprising a star. Two geometrically abstracted palmettes are linked to the cartouche by poles. The sections of the field not covered by the shield show trees with hook-shaped branches. In the shield motif, the different shapes of the two gabled ends are striking. The border designs are rarely encountered in this Kazak type.
