The chequerboard-style field design consists of 24 squares in varying ground colours. Each horizontal row includes two compartments with floral sprays and two compartments depicting birds. The light red main border contains floral stems that are not connected. Coarsely woven and drawn in a naive style, this is a typical Bakhtiari village rug from the Chahar Mahal region.
