Thanks for the feedback, shipping is always the biggest challenge, that is one of the reasons why we post a variety of shipping options on our website, allowing you to shop around. Note that some of them are small independent companies, and are sometimes slow to respond to emails, in that case please call them instead, I never seem to have a problem getting them on the phone.

I apologize for the shipping confusion, I am open to describing it more accurately and am certainly open to suggestions. Right now we ask you to contact any of the shippers listed on our website, https://hudsonvalleyauctioneers.com/services/shipping-information. html contact one or more shippers, preferably more than one for price comparison, as prices always vary, pick the one you like best, or gave you the best quote. After you pick a shipper, (and here is where it usually goes wrong), you need to contact us with your choice, and we will bring it to the shipper for you. The last step is important, often people just tell the shipper, but not us, often our shippers are overwhelmed and some bidders get placed "at the bottom of the pile", causing delays, if you let us know we can get the item to the shipper fast, instead of waiting for them to get to it. Normally we generate about 250 invoices per auction, totaling over 600 individual lots, some of these lots consist of more than one item, take into consideration that one of our favorite shippers, Accuprint, is a small Kinko with 4 employees, and that we are not their only client, it's easy to figure out there will be delays if we are unaware of your choice. Hope to have explained the situation correctly, meanwhile, as I stated, I'm open to suggestions regarding improving the shipping process. The one thing we will not consider is in-house shipping, sadly we were "burned" too many times, and have given up on that, so we leave shipping to the professionals. With kind regards. Just so you know, for pick up of items we have a loading area in the back on South street, as for the front, you can just double park right out front in the yellow zone, put on your blinkers, and we will get you loaded up in no time!
