Just got my fabulous flow blue china! When I was 17 I spent family grocery money to buy some flow blue plates and then sold them years later but I missed them and now I know why! These are GORG! Well packed, no breakage and arrived fast! Very happy with Hatch! I'll be back!

If I could leave 10 stars for Hatch Auctions I would. They are very professional and courteous. I especially enjoy attending the live auctions and have always been happy with everything that I purchased.

Professional and reliable service. Shipping costs seemed higher than necessary, but not a deal killer.

Great selection of numismatic pieces

I paid a premium for this platter because of its damage and staple repairs. The auction house offered in-house shipping, they packed the platter and chose the shipper (USPS). The platter arrived shattered. I immediately notified the auction house, and explained that the platter seemed well wrapped in bubble-wrap and there was absolutely no sign that the box had been dropped or damaged in shipment. The problem seemed to clearly be that a large heavy platter (well wrapped) had been shipped in a much larger box filled with starch-peanuts, and this offered absolutely no stability within the box. The platter just bounded around inside the box. I was instructed that it was MY responsibility to pursue a claim wth USPS and even then, the cost to ship to me was not reimbursed. The claim was submitted by my office assistant who shortly thereafter left because of Covid, and a series of in-house challenges meant this claim didn't get processed by USPS and my office did not track it. So I accept resinsability for my failure to follow up in a more timely manner, but the delay does not change the material facts. Months later I went back to the auction house who still denied any responsibility. Auction prices are high because buyers from around the world are bidding, and we rely on accurate condition rpts and responsible shipping. Between the high house premiums and extraordinary high cost of shipping, there's no room for loss. Their complete denial of any responsability is the opposite of my experience with another auction house through Live Auction. The item arrived broken for similar reasons (well-wrapped heavy item bouncing in a big box filled with peanuts) and they immediately sent a check for full reimbursement including shipping. I saved everything, they arranged for UPS to come out for inspection, they denied the claim, and the auction house and consigner took the loss. Not me.

I buy rugs from at lease 6 different auctions a week. The rug I purchased from this house was so covered in dog ********** it is stiff in spots and the dyes are bleeding. If a rug is covered in dog ********** and dyes are bleeding this should be mentioned in the description just like every other auction house does. No Mention of this in condition.

Lots more missing silver overlay than said in description, and a crack on the bottom of one of the handles which also was not shown or in the description

The process of buying and shipping was a pleasure. It is so nice to buy from an auction house that does it own shipping. Most outside shipping houses gouge the buyer.

Had an address change, a quick call and all was fixed... in house shipping is always great.

I love the fact that RD Hatch has in-house shipping and it is reasonable! Some antique stores force you to outside shippers that charge high fees for packing and shipping. Hatch was a breeze to deal with-fast, efficient shipping!!
