I collect colonial period glass and bottles, there was a very good selection in this auction. The 8 items that I won were packed in a double box, lots of bubble wrap padding. Everything arrived undamaged but do realize that shippin by UPS and others has gone up a lot! I was a bit dismayed to find that out, but it was not the fault of the auction house. I would recommend contacting them with plenty of time before their next auction to get a ship quote for any lots that you are interested in! Their shipping department was very helpful and very nice to work with.

The entire team at Hartzell's is professional, courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. Its a family run business and they take pride in their efforts. Many thanks to Ray, John and the entire team for constantly putting exceptional items up for bid.

Pretty straight forward transaction. Accurate listing. Prompt and accurate response to a pre auction question. Reasonable in-house shipping charges (heavy mantel clock). Very well packed. Shipped within a couple days. I wish this were the norm for all auction houses on Live Auctioneers, but unfortunately it’s not. I look forward to dealing with Hartzell again.

The House was wonderful to work with. This was a very large auction but it ran smoothly without a hitch. I picked up my items and was so glad I took the pleasant drive up there. Most auctioneers are accommodating but these guys were pleasant, efficient, and felt like old friends the minute I walked in. Thanks so much, I hope to work with the house again soon!

I saw this item for auction and knew I had to have it! I won the auction and the next step was to pick up my item. I arrived at Hartzell's Auction Gallery during their regular hours and was greeted warmly. The gentlemen there not only verified my purchase, but they then loaded the item into my van for me! This could not have been a smoother transaction. Kudos to Hartzell's.

Invoice was sent immediately after the auction and shipping was done same day as payment. All items were described very well in the auction and there were no surprises. Very well done!

Sent the item quickly.

I ordered 12 perfume bottles and some still had perfume in them. The person Hartzell's Auction Gallery selected to ship these items didn’t attempt to secure the perfume bottle stoppers in any way and they even bundled some of the glass bottles together with one layer of bubble wrap in between each bottle. I received a box that you could smell from about 5 ’ away, and the Guerlain Shalimar parfum bottle that had parfum in it when it left their facility arrived empty. Guerlain Shalimar parfum sells for $350 per ounce, and the bottle in this lot was vintage, which made it more valuable in my eyes. I even attempted to sop up some of the parfum that was on the bubble wrap, but the lot also contained a full pepper shaker that also wasn’t secured and it too spilled all over the contents of the box. I paid $30 to ship this lot to me, and for that kind of money I expected a professional job and instead, I received a mess. I did not receive what I ordered.

The auction was easy to navigate and the auction house was just as easy to work with. When I purchased the Edison horn I was not sure what to expect because the horn was very dirty/sooty looking. After it arrived and several hours of soaking/cleaning the horn was restored to its original glory with very little blemishes. Great find at a great price.

Everything is always packaged so carefully. Great dealing with this auction house.
