Signed by Joséphine “Lapagerie Bonaparte” at the bottom right. On plain ruled paper with “C & I Honig” watermark. Approximately 8 x 6 ¼”. Some soiling, one vertical crease, a few notes in unidentified hands. Fine. Joséphine refers to herself as the “Wife of the General-in-Chief Bonaparte.” In this letter, Joséphine is requesting some financial assistance for a friend.
