Length:155cm(61.02in)Width:67.8cm(26.69in)This is a vertical silk scroll Landscape with Travellers, attributed to Tang Yin of the Ming Dynasty, with antique original silk mounting and mahogany scroll rollers. The outer label reads “Precious Silk Landscape Scroll by Tang Yin of Ming”.The top panel bears Qianlong’s inscribed calligraphy “Divine Brush of Liuru” and Qing palace imperial seals. Painted on aged silk, the work depicts towering jagged peaks wrapped in mist, with twisted sturdy pines and neatly textured rock strokes. Scholar travellers on horseback and attendants travel along mountain paths, while pavilions are half-hidden in hills and distant peaks loom faintly. Poetic inscriptions appear in the upper section, and numerous antique imperial collection seals are stamped across the painting.Combining the powerful brushwork of academic painting and literati charm of the Wu School, the scroll features vivid small figures, depicting literati travelling to seek scenic seclusion. The aged silk is well preserved, representing a fine landscape work of the Ming Wu School.
