(1823 - 1862) Confederate brigadier general, brother of Howell Cobb, served in the Maryland campaign and was killed in action at the Battle of Fredericksburg. Close cut black ink signature: Thos. R. R. Cobb” on a 4 x 1 in. slip cut from a letter. Mounted, a clean tear bisecting the signature. Matted with a color portrait and set into a fine, ornate wood frame.
