(1894 – 1945) German general, commander of the 17th Army. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. Hasse died on 21 May 1945 of wounds sustained earlier that month. Scarce war-date partly-printed D.S., 1p. 8vo., [n.p.], Oct. 30,1944, an award of the Iron Cross, 2nd Class to a man in his command, signed in pencil at bottom. Marginal file holes, else very good.
