(1832-1913) Confederate major general and Robert E. Lee's son, he defended Richmond and was captured at Sayler's Creek while in retreat toward Appomattox. Bold signature ‘G. W. C. Lee’ in black ink on a 3.5 x 1.75 in. slip of paper, adding his rank ‘Col. & A. D. C.’ Mounted, shows slight toning but otherwise in very good to fine condition.
