(1808-1892) Union brigadier general, led his regiment at Yorktown and Williamsburg, as well as a division at Fredericksburg. Scarce signed endorsement on a 3.5 x 3 in. slip of paper cut from a larger document, [n.p.], June 19, 1863, approving and forwarding an unstated request. He signs ‘Thos A Rowley’ in black ink at bottom left, adding his rank ‘Brig Genl Comdg 1st Brigade’. Toned at the bottom edge, with chips and a split at bottom and bottom left, otherwise in very good condition.
