World War Two U.S. Navy VF-60 squadron patch. The patch is schiffli embroidery on twill. Measures 5.5" x 5" Established as Fighter Squadron Sixty VF-60 on July 14, 1943. The insignia was approved by the Office of Chief of Naval Operations - CNO on February 27, 1945. VF-60 was equipped with the Grumman F6F Wildcat and deployed on the USS Suwannee. The squadron participated in the Battles for Leyte Gulf and Battle off Samar Bay.
