World War Two U.S. Navy VC-4 squadron patch. The patch is schiffli embroidery on twill. Measures 4.25" x 4". Established as Composite Squadron four (VC-4) on April 2, 1943. The insignia was approved by the Office of Chief of Naval Operations - CNO on August 29, 1944. VC-4 was deployed on the USS Fanshaw Bay and USS White Plains and flew the General Motors Grumman TBM-1C Avenger and Grumman F4F (FM-2) Wildcat. The squadron participated in the Battle of saipan, Battle of Peleliu, and Battle off Samar. Pick up is Sunday, March 29 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
