(1824 - 1864) Confederate brigadier general who fought with Stuart at Gettysburg, with Longstreet in Tennessee; killed at Piedmont. War-date A.D.S. as Captain, 1st Va. Cavalry, 1p. 2.25 x 7.5 in. (sight), [n.p.], Sep. 23, 1861, a request to his quartermaster to supply the bearer with a pair of boots which Jones will record accordingly. Fine condition. Matted in grey with a photo portrait and set into a silvered wood frame.
